Mumbai Crime Branch officials have apprehended three individuals linked to the threatening email sent to the RBI, demanding the resignations of Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das.

The arrests took place in Vadodara, Gujarat, and the police are currently probing the motives behind the threatening emails, as well as the tools utilized for their transmission, according to sources.

The email had specified a threat to ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank if the resignations were not tendered, with a stated intention to act on Wednesday at 1:30 pm.
